Abundance is simple in theory and radical in practice, because it requires letting go. However, it's the most fulfilling path forward, as living in a scarcity based mindset encourages stagnation and not growth. As this transformative chapter of PBF unfolds, we've done a significant amount of reflection of our core values and vision to ensure we're headed in the right direction. Yesterday, a fleeting but profound conversation unfurled within the cracks between our various alternating projects - The Abundance Mentality.

It came in an unexpected package — a seemingly business oriented book with a cracked spine, placed in front of me with an expression that told me it held something deeper.
The title read The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People, by Stephen & Sean Covey. The pages were worn to softness and held a single bookmark that clung to page 268. She told me she would not be who or where she was without it. Lo and behold, the farm’s very existence has been shaped by the space that bookmark created in Missy’s mind. So, of course, I went home and read the chapter. Inside was a mix of the golden rule, the human condition, and a deep belief in our collective potential.
At its heart, the Abundance Mindset is the belief that opportunities, resources, and success are not finite. It’s a win-win way of moving through the world: I can succeed, and so can you — in different ways, on different timelines. Your success does not diminish mine. Abundance isn’t about excess or endless giving; it’s about understanding cycles. I can share generously because I know when and how to refill. I trust that what I give will, in time, return.
This is the mindset we carry every day - both from within our team and throughout everything we do at the farm. It comes from a quiet confidence in our ability to offer what’s needed, exactly when it’s needed. From trusting that what we have won’t run out, but will grow through care, consistency, and intention.
That’s the quiet magic here. There's abundance you can feel - a sense of enoughness that moves through the land and outward through each guest who visits. A community spirit that has become quietly rare. What we offer isn’t over the top or extreme. It’s simple, but never incomplete.
In many ways, that's what makes this place what it is. The Abundance Mindset isn’t just a chapter in a book; it’s a rhythm we live by. It’s woven into our lives - how we farm, how our business grows, and how we welcome those who walk through our gates. It’s found in the balance we feel, sustained by daily care, and in the trust that what we nurture will continue to grow.
Abundance isn’t loud or instant, it’s subtle, steady, and quietly transformative. It requires trust, and can feel uncertain at times. It’s the feeling that our work, our community, and our care ripple outward, multiplying in ways that don't immediately show, but we can always feel. In a world that often rushes toward extremes, that quiet, ever present abundance is what makes this farm — and all who are part of it — calm, connected, and complete.
An Abundance of Resources
