There are 45 different species of lavender with over 450 different varieties! They can be classified into 4 main categories. • Lavandin Lavandula x intermedia • French lavender Lavandula dentata •Spanish lavender Lavandula stoechas • English Lavender Lavandula Angustifolia

Lavender blooms once a year in New England, usually in mid July. Occasionally, younger plants or some English varieties will bloom multiple times throughout the summer!

We have about 10,000 hand tended lavender plants and growing!

The Barn Store is open on select dates starting June 1st and ending on the final weekend of September. Please note that the Barn Store is open both before and after the lavender bloom, which is in July only. We have an annual lavender plant sale starting June 1st, when the barn store opens for the season! We offer a limited plant presale on our website, usually starting mid March. Yes! We often create seasonal gift sets featuring some of our favorite lavender products, perfect for gifting or bringing a piece of the farm home. We also offer seasonal gift sets on our online shop.

Sometimes! Because many of our items are made or harvested in small batches, some products may sell out during busy weekends. Visiting earlier in the season offers the best selection.

Yes! Gift cards are available and make a wonderful present for anyone who loves lavender, nature, and time spent at the farm. Physical gift cards are avilable for purchase on the farm during our open season, and E-gift cards are available year round. Please check in at the barn upon arrival, where you may register and prepay for U-Pick bundles. All tools and supplies necessary for picking will be provided. After you have paid, you will be directed under the lean to, where a staff member will explain exactly how to pick the lavender!

Please do not skip registration, as all U-Pick bundles are prepay only. Important instructions on how to pick the lavender to not damage the plant are given at this time as well!

At the U-Pick registration table, you will be given a ring. When harvesting the lavender, you may cut as many stems as will fit inside the ring. This is considered a bundle. You are welcome to purchase as many rings as you’d like. If you cut more lavender than will fit in the ring, you will be asked to purchase an additional bundle.

Bundle rings have an approximate 1 ½ inch diameter, which holds approximately 100-150 stems of lavender.

Harvesting lavender can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour, depending on personal experience and the maturity of the crop. Please dress and hydrate appropriately, as the lavender grows in full sun and is covered by black weed barrier - it’s hot!

There is a specific method to harvesting lavender to ensure plant health. One of our dedicated staff members will let you know with a quick demonstration before giving you your materials. Please only cut underneath the first set of leaves and above the second set on each lavender sprig.

U-Pick bundles are $18.00 each on Monday - Thursday, and $20.00 on Friday-Sunday. There are additional lavender infused products and refreshments available for purchase during U-Pick as well.

Admission and parking at the farm are always free during our open hours. 💜

The lavender blooms once a year and falls within mid July. Please check our calendar f(https://www.pumpkinblossomfarm.com/calender)or specific U-Pick dates. U-Pick 2026 is scheduled for July 4th-26th, 10:00am to 6:00pm daily.

Reservations are not required for standard U-Pick hours. Guests are welcome to arrive anytime during open hours. Large groups are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can ensure the best possible experience.

Lavender grows in full sun on top of black weed barrier, which can make the field quite warm. We recommend lightweight clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, and bringing water to stay hydrated.

Yes! Guests are welcome to visit the farm, browse the barn shop, picnic, and enjoy the atmosphere without participating in U-Pick.

Photography is welcome for personal use. We kindly ask guests to be mindful of the plants and other visitors while taking photos. Some events require advance tickets while others are open attendance. If tickets are required, they will be listed on the event page. We recommend reserving ahead whenever possible, as many events have limited capacity and sell out quickly.

Parking is available on site, our team will help direct you when you arrive, or there will be clear signage to direct you to our 3 parking areas.

Most events happen rain or shine. If weather requires a change of plans, we’ll notify ticket holders as soon as possible with updated details.

Food options vary by event. Some nights feature food trucks, specialized catering, or farm snacks, while others may have simple refreshments available. Please refer to the event description for specifics.

You are welcome to enjoy outside food and beverages at the farm. Picnic blankets are available to take out into the field any time, as well as adirondack chairs and a handful of bistro tables.

Dress comfortably and plan for the outdoors. Depending on the event, you may want: • comfortable walking shoes • a light layer for evening events • sun protection during daytime events

The farm is a working agricultural space with gravel and uneven ground in some areas. We do our best to accommodate everyone and are happy to answer specific accessibility questions. The farm is not available for private gatherings and celebrations at this time.

Due to the limited seasonal nature of the farm’s event offerings, tickets are ineligible for returns or refunds with no exception. If the event is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will be issued a refund as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes, you are more than welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend. Please let us know the updated contact information of the ticketholder at your earliest convenience.

In June, August and September, our farm is open to the public from 10 am - 4 pm, Wednesday - Sunday, however our hours may vary depending upon the needs of the farm and the harvesting times for the lavender. Until the lavender is in full bloom, we'll have limited offerings until our Upick Lavender season begins in July. Lavender Upick for 2024 is scheduled for July 5-21 from 10 am to 6 pm daily. During UPick, we will have the barn store stocked, the concession camper open and picking lavender during that period of time. We invite you to follow our Facebook page and check our website for the most up to date information about open farm hours and to shop our online store. If you are local and prefer to pick up merchandise, we can make arrangements for that as well. Go to the CONTACT US page and send us a message.

We do not grow pumpkins. Although our farm name has long been established and address would suggest that we have a pumpkin patch, but we are just a lavender farm at this time.

There is no cost of admission to the farm. During our season, you are welcome to stop in and roam the field, visit our barn store and shop lavender products or explore the farm.

We do have lavender U-pick available during the month of July and possibly longer dependent upon Mother Nature. It is not available during the month of June but you are still able to visit the farm and enjoy the field. Dates for the 2025 U-pick will be posted and updated regularly. Currently the Lavender U-pick is scheduled for July 5 - 20 from 10 am to 6 pm daily.

Yes, well-mannered dogs are welcome at the farm. We provide a water bowl and treats in the field for them. Dogs must be on a leash at all times due to our free-ranging chickens and other animals. Please clean up after your pet and dispose of waste in the trash bins, not in the portable restrooms.

We accept all major credit cards, local checks and cash.

Unfortunately, weddings are difficult to accomodate around the existing operations of the farm and we do not rent the barn. We do however welcome you to come take photos in the field to celebrate your engagement, wedding or family occassion. Your photographer can refer to our photograpghy policies (javascript:void(0))for more information. If you do not have a professional photographerr, feel free to reach our to schedule a time to enjoy the field and take your own.

For garden clubs, community groups, or large groups planning to visit, please note that we cannot accommodate parking for buses, campers, or large passenger vehicles due to our sloped property. There is a park and ride lot in Warner at exit 9 off I-89. We recommend contacting us before planning your group trip so we can best prepare for your visit.
