Seasonal Summer Retail & Farm Assistant

Location: Lavender Fields at Pumpkin Blossom Farm. Warner, NH
Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Job Description: We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team at our lavender farm for the summer season. This position is ideal for teachers looking for summer employment. As a seasonal retail and farm assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks, including:

1. Retail Sales: Assisting customers in our barn store, checking them out on the register, and providing excellent customer service. 

2. Lavender U-Pick: Checking in customers, instructing them on proper picking techniques, and ensuring a positive experience.

3. Farm Work: Assisting with lavender harvesting, planting, weeding, and other farm-related tasks as necessary.

4. Processing Lavender: Bundling and hanging lavender to dry for future use.

5. Food Sales: Assisting with food sales, including preparing and serving simple food items. 

6. Supervision: Monitoring and providing guidance to teenage summer employees.

Requirements:

• Must be 21+

• Must have a calm and welcoming demeanor.

• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred. 

• Must be able to work outside in hot conditions on occasion.

• Knowledge or interest in lavender farming is a plus.

This is a seasonal position starting in June, ending in August. However, we have some flexibility with the exception of July (our busiest month). This work schedule can vary or remain steady if preferred and will include weekends. The hourly rate will be dependent upon experience.
