Visit or Volunteer at a Farm
Spending time in nature has been scientifically shown to reduce stress and boost happiness. Bask in the beauty of blooming lavender fields, among fresh produce, or in a beautiful grove of fruit trees. Breathe in the calming scent, and maybe even pick your own produce to take home!
Visiting a farm is a great way to move your body, get some vitamin D, recconect with nature, and learn about where your food (and flowers) come from! Bonus points if you volunteer to do some harvesting or weeding at your local farm. A selfless act that is a great way to promote good karma, get some exercise, and a golden tan! 😉 If you're interested in visiting our farm, check out our calendar.

Try a New Recipe
Trying something new can be incredibly rewarding and boost your creativity. Experiment with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and incorporate foods that complement your hormonal cycle for an extra health boost. We are always growing and changing, and trying new things enhances our growth, no matter how big or small! For instance, lavender is an extremely underrated herb, but as more people are getting introduced to it in a culinary sense, it has exponentially grown in popularity!
Plan a Sunset Picnic
There’s something magical about watching the sun dip below the horizon, and taking a moment to slow down is essential for mental well-being. Pack a basket with your favorite goodies and a big bottle of something refreshing, bring a cozy blanket, and enjoy a dreamy, stress-free evening in nature.
Here at Lavender Fields, we offer Sunset Date Nights in the Field, where we'll pack up your picnic basket with a blanket, two mini bottles of champagne, a fresh local charcuterie box for two, and a gourmet lavender infused dessert to share. These picnics are held after hours during the bloom (only 10 couples per night) so that you may relax and graze after picking your own lavender bundle to take home as a sweetly scented keepsake.
Go on a Scenic Hike
Spending time outdoors helps clear your mind and improve mood. Find a new trail, explore the great outdoors, and never stop exploring. Preserving our sense of wonder and whimsy allows us to stay young in both our bodies and our souls. Connecting with nature is good for the mind and the body!
Take a Spontaneous Road Trip
Breaking out of your routine can be revitalizing. Set out on the open road with (or without) a destination in mind! Maybe you end up in our littel storybook town of Warner, NH, and pay us a visit! You never know what you may find when you take the time to explore.
Unplug for a Self Care Focused Weekend
Digital detoxes are proven to improve mental clarity and relaxation. Step away from screens, put your phone on silent, and embrace a slower pace. Take the time to focus on you, and indulge in a little self care! This could be anything from sleeping in, reading a book, enjoying a nice meal, or having an at home spa day.
If you're in need of a self care supply restock, we've got just the thing. Did you know that lavender is scientifically proven to improve sleep quality, fight off anxiety and depression, AND naturally improve hair growth 😮💨 wooh!
Pick Your Own Summer Produce
Engaging with nature and working with your hands can boost mood and lower stress. Head to a local farm for a U-Pick experience! Whether it’s lavender, strawberries, blueberries, or peaches, there’s something special about harvesting your own fresh ingredients straight from the source to take home. If you want to visit us during our harvest season, plan your visit in July!
Try Outdoor Yoga or Meditation
Spending time outside while practicing mindfulness has been shown to reduce stress and increase happiness. Start your morning with deep breaths and movement in the fresh air, bonus points if surrounded by the calming scent of lavender. Whether in your backyard, at the beach, or in a lavender field, outdoor yoga is a great way to reset and recharge. If you're interested in practicing with us, check out our Candlelight Yoga in the Barn class, with our amazing instructor, Jen!This low and slow class is all about reconnecting with your body and calming the mind in the breezy, open air loft of our barn.😌
Attend a Festival or Summer Fair
Festivals and events are a great way to break out of routine and experience joy. Check out what’s happening locally and make a day of it! Festivals often offer artisan foods, artwork, and products you can't get anywhere else! Look good with a nice new piece, and feel going knowing you're supporting a small business. Our Lavender U-Pick festival runs throughout the month of July!
